Polaris Acquisition Corp. (AMEX: TKP.U) is a
special purpose acquisition company (SPAC) formed by several highly successful
private individuals to facilitate investment through funds raised in an
initial public offering. The proceeds that were raised are targeted now
to complete the business combination with Hughes Telematics, Inc., a
private company headquartered in Atlanta, GA, pending shareholder approval and
satisfaction of other conditions in the merger agreement.
